“What do you want from me?”
Nathaniel stared at her and didn’t hesitate to answer.
“I want an assistant.”

He hung his head low and muttered, “My mother is a difficult woman and my sister is spoiled. They both mistreated you, so this is my way of punishing them.”

“I’m just your ex-wife, but they’re your family. How can you be so harsh on them?”
